What is DPCC?

Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) is an autonomous regulatory body, which was established after the Notification dated 15-03-1991 of CPCB, with the motive to implement the Environmental or Pollution laws.

Sustainable development is the fundamental objective of the DPCC certificate as it helps in maintaining the balance between environmental growth, economic growth, and social equality in Delhi (National Capital Territory). Moreover, it also ensures the preservation of natural resources and alleviation of pollution while improving the quality of life.

In a nutshell, a DPCC certificate needs to be obtained to create environmental awareness, energy efficiency, and environmental protection through taking legal measures, encouraging 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle), and the use of energy-efficient equipment.
